Okuzono Japanese Dining is an authentic Izakaya concept which features full open kitchen, Zen Garden, Tatami area and unique Mezzanine seatings. Okuzono’s original menu showcases innovation while staying true to its traditional roots. Classic Japanese dishes are infused with special tea blends to create a new flavour palate that is uniquely Okuzono.

The name “Okuzono” is inspired by the kanji letters 奥 meaning “inner” and 園 meaning “garden”. This carefully chosen name reflects the vision behind the restaurant – to offer guests a tranquil, supportive place where they can find balance and wellness through delicious food.

About the Chef

Chef Naoyuki Shimada

Hailing from Kyoto, Japan with international experience in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Jakarta, Chef Naoyuki Shimada brings a modern twist to his traditional Japanese cuisine training. Chef Shimada pays tribute to local ingredients, incorporating them in unexpected ways throughout Okuzono’s menu.
